Bare Necessities

Welcome to the Neighborhood News

Two Seas

There are two seas in Palestine: the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea. They are both fed by the Jordan River. One thing we should realize is, the one receives and gives, and the other takes and keeps.

The Sea of Galilee flows on, while the Dead Sea is cursed with no way out.

One is filled with lush life, while the other destroys life.

What makes the difference between the two of them? Is not their source of water: the river Jordan empties in both of them. In the Sea of Galilee, for every drop that flows in, another one drops out. Not so with the Dead Sea, which keeps every drop emptied into it; it hoards every single drop.

In our lives, we have the potential for selfless giving or for selfish keeping. Our choices are spiritual life or death.

Please watch this video, and tell us what you think.
