Simple Things

Welcome to the Neighborhood News

Have you ever started a project that seemed simple enough, to end up having a big project you need to take care of? That’s what happened to Cindy Beck. She started out convincing her husband to go for a ride up the canyon and ended up… Well, read the story and you’ll see what happened. Cindy’s latest project, a co-authored book of LDS anecdotes called, Mormon Mishaps and Mischief, was published by Cedar Fort, Inc. and is available at well known bookstores.

If you haven’t heard about Seth Adam Smith, this is your opportunity to get acquainted with his work. In this video, he focuses on a few people that have made a difference in the world. They started out as simple individuals, but by example, courage and determination became leaders in their respective circles of influence. This young filmographer blogs at SethAdamSmith.com. Enjoy his work.

Do you believe in angels? A lot of people do. I believe they’re around to help us and protect us. I found this Family Home Evening lesson at ‘Chocolate on My Cranium,’ from contributor Jody. This lesson is based on Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's talk from the October 2008 General Conference entitled "The Ministry of Angels." The object of this lesson is to help family members understand that God never leaves us alone and explains the existence of angels, both the heavenly and the mortal kind.

As usual, on Fridays Positive Music and Downloads offers Free Download Friday. Please enjoy the music of Paul Cardall, and his song "O My Father."

Have a great time this weekend, and send us a few words in the comments section, we'll certainly appreciate that.
