Welcome to the
Neighborhood News
From Cindy Beck at
Write Up my Alley, we have her article “Giblets Roasting on an Open Fire.” If you know Cindy, you know that even if her story starts out fine, at some point of the narration something will go wrong, and you will end up with a big laugh. This one is no exception. Cindy is a published author, and her latest book
Mormon Mishaps and Mischief just won the prestigious 2010 Silver Quill Award.
If you’re looking for a good dessert or a treat for family night, or something different for Thanksgiving, just check out what Ali-Kat has to offer at
Ali-Kat’s Brain. Her recipe is called “Gluten-free Pumpkin Roll,” and it looks delicious. She says: “A pumpkin roll is a fabulous supplementary dessert to your turkey-day pie selection.”
At
Family Home Evening, they have a lesson on “Gratitude.” President Faust has said: "A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness. It is an expression of humility. It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love, and well-being." Why not teach these virtues to our children? And then let’s have some pumpkin roll. :o)
