Friday Medley

Welcome to the Neighborhood News

Oh yes, another weekend is here. I hope you have great plans and enjoy it as much as you can.

Our first contributor is our dear friend Cindy Beck, who blogs at "Write Up my Alley." Her article, entitled "How to Make Money Blogging When You're a Redneck", is a funny read. Cindy explains in her hilarious roundabout way what blogging is, and uses terminology like 'hits', 'web page' and 'redneck.' Read it while sitting on the porch and drinking lemonade. Ahhh, summer.

The next entry is from Dr. Leonard Perry, who is an extension Professor at the University of Vermont. The article's title says it all "Insect Bites and Stings." He gives us a lot of great tips on how to handle different types of outcomes from our encounters with bugs. Stuff in your eyes, or ears? He's got the answer. Got stung? He knows what to do. Print this page and keep it close, where you can find it when you need it.

The last article comes from 'LDS Family Fun' and it's a Family Home Evening lesson, entitled "Would Jesus Talk Like That?" There's a cute video of President Hinckley and how his mother taught him not to use the Lord's name in vain, then an activity, a story and a treat. They all reinforce the importance of using clean speech.

As usual, on Fridays Positive Music and Downloads offers Free Download Friday. Please enjoy Ryan Innes "Next to You."

Have a great weekend, and when you can, drop off a few words in the comments section, we'll certainly appreciate that.
